Case Study

Resruitment Website

Throughout the early part of 2009, WJP Floyd worked extensively with HMP & YOI Parc, a large prison establishment managed privately by G4S, to design and implement a fully functional e-recruitment system. Due to its successful track record, the Home Office had allocated the prison a large number of extra places, creating a high number of new staff vacancies. The challenge was to recruit to these positions while avoiding overburdening the already stretched HR team.

WJP Floyd scoped out and proposed to the client a candidate attraction campaign that diverted candidates to a new HMP Parc branded careers portal. Here candidates could learn all about the realities of working at the prison, register for job alerts and apply for live positions on line. The process encouraged candidates to interact with the system, and included talent screen tests and sifting questions. All communication with the candidate was done electronically, saving HR a great deal of time and effort and ensuring a consistent assessment and reporting structure.
